Chairpeople Training

WHO/WHEN

All chair applicants must read and comply with the "Guidelines for Meeting Chairs" pamphlet. Reading and understanding the pamphlet fulfills the training requirement.

WHAT

This is a mandatory meeting that covers the what, whys, and what-ifs that help you run successful meetings and know what to do in an emergency.

HOW

Please direct any questions about the pamphlet to Steve Kr. at +1 815-999-2287.

KUDOS

Chairpeople are the backbone of MFC. Without our chairs, there would be no meetings. We are grateful to each and every one of you for your service work. Keep coming back!

Chairperson Requirements

Chairpersons must have at least three (3) months of sobriety to chair a meeting and at least one (1) year of sobriety to obtain a key to open the building. If the Chair does not have a single continuous year of sobriety, another meeting attendee with at least one year must be the key-holder.

Contact Steve Kr. for any questions. Refer to the pamphlet for building safety.

Download the Guide

Chairpersons and Keyholders have important roles in keeping fellowship groups running. Download this guide to discover the roles, responsibilities, and support available to each.

BLUE LOCKERS

DOES YOUR MEETING NEED STORAGE SPACE?

Meetings that use literature or other materials not provided by the Mokena Fellowship Center may request a locker to store items such as books, phone lists, business meeting notes, group conscience decisions, and other meeting materials.

  • One locker may be requested per meeting.
  • Lockers are assigned by request (subject to availability).
  • Mokena Fellowship Center provides the locker and a keyed lock with a $5 deposit.
  • Your meeting receives one key, and Mokena Fellowship Center keeps the second key.

To request a locker for your meeting, contact a member of the Steering Committee.

Blue Storage Lockers are available to Meetings by request to the Key Chair.
