More about Steering Committee

  •  3 elected Officers: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson (5 yr sobriety), and Secretary (3 yr sobriety), *full voting rights
  • 8 Standing Committee Coordinators: Building Manager, Education/Keys, Hospitals and Institutions, Housekeeping, Literature, Sunday Breakfast, Supplies (3 yr sobriety) *full voting rights
  • 4 Sub-Committee Coordinators: Fundraising, Picnic, Website, Social Events (1 yr sobriety) *can only vote when issue relates to their committee
  • All of these positions are a minimum 1 year of service.

More about Steering Committee

  • All positions are a 1 year commitment and meetings are the 2nd Sunday every month, unless a holiday conflicts, then another date is chosen.  
  • The Chairperson will preside over the meeting and the meeting shall follow Robert’s Rules of Order.  In addition to presiding over the Steering Committee meeting, the Chairperson also has a seat on the Board of Directors.  They attend Board meetings and make a report of the highlights of the Steering Committee meeting.
  • The Vice-Chairperson must step in for the Chairperson when they cannot attend, performing all their duties stated above.
  • The Secretary takes attendance as well as the official minutes for the meeting.  Other secretarial documents will be needed for announcements, alcathons, elections, and other events.

  • To become a candidate for the Steering Committee, you will need to fill out a Steering Committee Questionnaire.  Please click to below to download the Questionnaire.  You can complete it and deposit it in the safe at MFC, or you can type directly on the document and email your completed questionnaire to admin@aamokenafellowship.org 
  •  Candidate questionnaires will be accepted between February 1st and March 6th.
  • If you have any questions about the election, you can submit them to admin@aamokenafellowship.org

Remember...

Ballots will not be available until March 7, 2021.  When the ballots are available they will be found here for online voting.  In person ballots will be blue and will be available at the Fellowship. 

Voting will be from March7th - March 14th at 3 pm.
