The Steering Committee manages the day to day operations of the Fellowship, and can approve expenditures under $500. The committee is made up of:
3 elected Officers: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson (5 yr sobriety), and Secretary (3 yr sobriety), *full voting rights
8 Standing Committee Coordinators: Building Manager, Education/Keys, Hospitals and Institutions, Housekeeping, Literature, Sunday Breakfast, Supplies (3 yr sobriety) *full voting rights
4 Sub-Committee Coordinators: Fundraising, Picnic, Website, Social Events (1 yr sobriety) *can only vote when issue relates to their committee
All of these positions are a minimum 1 year of service. The Elected Officers are voted in by the membership on the second weekend of March. All other members are voted in by the Steering Committee.
Essentially, the Committee performs the functions of a regular AA group’s business meeting, but for the entire Fellowship. The Supplies Chair purchases coffee, filters, tp, paper towels and cleaning supplies. Our Literature Chair manages the coins and literature, Education and Keys initiates our new chairpeople on our procedures as well as keeps track of all our keys and fobs. Our Building Manager maintains all our appliances, keeping us in compliance with all safety standards, and performs any maintenance needed. The Hospitals and Institutions Chair is our liaison to our local institutions, providing them with meeting and event information, and Housekeeping cleans our building until it shines! Our Sunday Breakfast Chair coordinates the schedule of chairs for each month, and these chairs in turn provide speakers for each meeting. The Sunday Breakfast Chair also collects door monies, runs the raffles, collects the 7th Tradition and coordinates the food.
This takes a lot of work, and many hand make light work. All of these members donate their time to our Fellowship because they know service work keeps them sober, but they can’t do it alone. Please consider being a part of our Steering Committee and being of service to our Fellowship.

The Secretary position requires 3 years of sobriety. The Secretary mainly must take notes during SC meetings, then type them up and email/distribute to the other members along with an agenda for the following month. We can teach you all you'll need to know! Contact email@example.com for more info.
We are looking for a member(s) to take responsibility for the maintenance of our building and all of the appliances inside and out. We will provide a checklist. Please come to the next Steering Committee Meeting, contact a member of SC, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Got an idea for a fundraiser? Help us pay down our mortgage and bring your idea to the next Steering Committee meeting, contact a member of the Steering Committee, or send an email to email@example.com.
Want to plan a social event? We have lots of room for Fellowship events now, so come to the next Steering Committee meeting, contact a member of the Steering Committee, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Every January the Board of Directors present to the whole Fellowship an accounting of our finances, our achievements and our challenges of the past year as well as our challenges and goals for the year ahead. Throughout 2020, we all worked hard to keep our Fellowship alive and thriving. Thank you to all who are of service to our Fellowship! This year we especially want to recognize Don K. for his many months of hard work in making this place our beautiful home. We can never thank you enough Don!
For those who were unable to join us on January 10th at 2:30 pm for the 9th Annual State of the Fellowship, you can view the slides show of the presentation that was given by our Board Chairman, Don P. Check it out below and see how we're doing.
